Four Seasons Duo New Release The Cat's Pajamas
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Hey all! Happy Monday! Today I have the Four Seasons Duo die cuts new release from The Cat's Pajamas to show you. It is super fun!
I will tell you, you need to go over to the Cat's Pajamas blog because mine did not come out the same as everyone else's. Since I am new to paper piecing die cuts... let's be honest I didn't know what I was doing haha! I knew what I WANTED to do .. but how to get there... lord have mercy that is another story! haha!
My kids every day ask me how many more days until summer. Until I finally put an app on their tablets so they could keep track themselves. So I thought a little cookie treat bag would be perfect for them and their little friends. The sentiment "Summer" and "Is Calling" is actually from the new release "Year Of The Pig", which is a completely cute set that you should get as well.
The bag is actually just made out of some Vellum cardstock. It is supposed to open from the top but I creased it a bit too much on the side and it ripped... so I helped it along and ripped it the rest of the way to make it more of a pocket bag instead. I cut the top of the bag with some fun funky scissors that I have had laying around the house forever, so it was fun getting to use those.
I actually wasn't planning on putting the little fox on the bag. However, my son Stephen said "it looks like he is flying to the ship saying wait for me" So I had to put it on there after he had said that.
Although, before I put the little fox on there with any kind of adhesive, I had to do something with the rest of the ship. Everything just seemed flat and one dimensional. I decided to pop up the ship a little bit with some 3D foam to give it more of an exciting, fun, handmade look. I also did the same with the fox and the clouds.
The Copic markers I used are:
