Blobbing Copic Markers

Blobbing markers are common. Copic markers are very airtight. If you have a marker that is not overfilled and it starts to blog on your work then you are encountering a pressure problem. This may happen if you are coloring in a different climate/temperature/altitude than the last time you used the markers. It also happens if you color during a flight. Taking the camps off both sides will equalize the marker's internal air-pressure and solve the problem.

If you start to notice your marker getting a little too "juicy" while coloring take both caps off and this will prevent blobs or as I say sometimes your marker throwing up on your image.

Note: Ciao markers with the optional Med. Round nib have a hard time getting the correct air pressure, so you may need to color with both caps off.
