Groovy Swissies - February 2023 C.C. Designs NEW RELEASE Social Media Hop

Hey all! Welcome to the C.C Designs February Release Social Media Hop! This month we have three WONDERFUL Swissie stamp sets. The Design Team has been giving you previews all week and now we are sharing our BEST inspirations for Release Day to encourage you to shop 'til you drop. You should have come from the Kerri Boucher's Blog and now you get to see what I have created for you. Today I am showcasing Groovy Swissies Clear Stamp Set.

I had such an amazing time coloring both the Swissies from the Groovy Swissies Clear Stamp Set! They are both so adorable and fun! I of course looked up different 60's style clothing so I could make some fun patterns on the clothing.

For the green circles on her shirt I wanted them to be a little "hazy" so I colored the shirt with the pink first, then used the YG05 to make the circles - which made the pink "disappear" a bit. Then I went over them again with the YG07 to make them a little darker shade that I wanted. I could have just used the "0" Colorless Blender pen to do that, but I didn't want ALL the pink to go away, just some of it. Using the YG21 worked perfectly!

Of course since she had the peace symbol around her neck, I had to put one on my card. I didn't want it to just be any peace symbol though, I wanted a shaker! I found this cut on the Silhouette Design Store. It didn't cut out exactly the way that I wanted, but I think it turned out even better.

While making the card, the pattern paper and the Swissies clothes made me think of the Deee-Lite video from the 90's "Groove is in the heart". So of course, I HAD to find a fun font for the word Groovy. The word Groovy does come as one of the sentiments, but I wanted to cut it out so I could use this fun pattern paper. The font is simply called Groovy in the Silhouette Design Store.

I finished it off with a few dew drops.
