Make Tea, Not War - New Cat's Pajamas Challenge

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Hey all! Happy first Tuesday of the month! A new month means...? Yes! a new challenge from The Cat's Pajamas. This month the challenge is Stencils. There are so many great stencils to really play with and explore.

I still had the very adorable bunnies from the Make Tea, Not War. So, with them, some material I have had for what feels like a lifetime, and some distress ink... I played!

I had a good time using different distress ink on the material, but the Peacock Feathers seemed to work the best. It was also the one that looked the prettiest with the soft blue and white flowers as well.

I really like how the Handdrawn Scrolls Stencil really took this card up a level. It is very simple but the stenciling I think really made this card, along with the little bun of course.

I even made sure to go off the material a little bit to bring out the beautiful color on the crumb cake paper. I also used the Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to lightly sponge the center circle the bun is on drinking his tea.

I used the Keep Calm Put The Kettle On sentiment this time. I think I have almost used all the sentiments in this stamp set with every card that I have made. I just used a paper cutter to cut the paper down and then some scissors to cut the little flag part out.

I believe I have almost used all of the images as well. I love stamp sets that I can get so many different cards out of.

The last thing I added was the sequins. I am surprised at how well I got everything to match up or so close that it looks nice together. I really love this card!

The Copic Markers I used are:

  • Bunny: E50, 51, 53, 55

  • Cup: B05, 04, 01, 00

The cardstock sizes:

  • Whisper White: 4 1/4 x 11 (folded in half for card base) scraps for the circle, the scalloped circle, and the flag for sentiment

  • Crumb Cake: 5 1/4 x 4

  • Material: 5 x 3 3/4
