Remembering Aletha Blog Hop

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Hey all!  This post today is part of a very special blog hop. We are remembering and celebrating the life of an amazingly talented artist and friend.

The crafting community lost Aletha Jane Williams on May 5, 2019.

Many of the wonderful ladies on this hop in some way worked with her on Design Teams or on Challenge Blogs. They all agree that she was one of the sweetest and most talented women they knew. Sadly, I knew of her and her talent but never knew her personally.

We are not here to mourn her loss though. This hop is happening in conjunction with a very special celebration of her life and her art that her husband Bob is holding in her home city of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Please join us in honoring our incredibly creative friend Aletha.

I was happy to have discovered her talent while we were both design team members for the Aurora Wings Challenge blog. We were on two different teams so I admired her from afar.

Mitzi was sweet enough to make this lovely image as a tribute to Aletha. I think it fits perfectly. I wanted to honor her with something that was simple and sweet. Which is how she made everything she did seem.

It was sweet ... but she had a way of making you say "WOW" and making her coloring look so effortless and simple. When in reality you knew it was only simple for her haha!

The Copic markers I used for this image are:

  • Skin: E000, 00, 04, 11, 21, R20,30

  • Hair: E50, 51, 53, 55

  • Pants: YG00, 01, 03

  • Shirt: RV000, 00, 02, YR31, 61, 65, 68

  • Shoes: YG00, 01, 03, E42, 43, 44, 47

  • Flower: Y11, 13, 17, V20, 22, 25

  • Paint Brush: E44, 43, 30, 31, 33, T0, 1, R21, 22

  • Paint Palette: E42, R21, 22, RV02, 00, YR61, 31, YG03, V22

Please continue on this amazing hop with the people who have created something to as we remember Aletha today, as her loved ones celebrate her life in remembering her in Tulsa today at her memorial.

Until next time friends!!!
